Lets see.....there has been so many things happening, I'm not sure where to start. Our guy is 6 months old now. He weighs 20 pounds. He's huge. He is sitting up and using his voice. We were blessed to celebrate Christmas with him, his very first Christmas. We are also blessed that both sides of our families brought him into the the family with open arms. He is treated like he has always been there and always will be. His mom has told us that she wants us to adopt him, but that is not as easy as you might think. We had a meeting with a lawyer and the only thing blocking us is the State. If they will back out of the case, he's ours, but if not, we have no say in him leaving us. This has become such a time consuming thing. But we will not give up.
We were given the ok to let him see his Great Grandma, so we set up a time for that. It was wonderful.
We have also written all our senators, congressmen..etc.. for help in our case and I even wrote Dr, Phil. We haven't received anything back from anyone. It seems as though nobody cares about them and their feelings. I'm also getting tired of people thinking they know how I feel when they have never fostered. Yes, we knew what we were getting into.....yes we understand what fostering means.....no, it's not right. What the State is doing is so wrong.
